Deborah Perrotta

Deborah Perrotta is graduated in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Administration. She holds an Advanced Studies degree in Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing on Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) under the MIT Portugal Program. Nowadays, she conducts her PhD research in a partnership between FEUP, Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Minho and CEIIA (Centro para a Excelência e Inovação na Indústria Automóvel), investigating the optimization of an electric bus powertrain system, recharging strategies and the search for other energy storage devices, also under the MIT Portugal Program. She has some technical experience in Process Design, where she worked analyzing process conditions, dimensioning auto-valves, flow elements and piping of gas production plants from the industrial gases company Praxair Inc.. She also has experience in Project Planning and Cost Control in the same company, where her duties involved planning the construction of air separation plants, from materials acquisition to plant operation; and the cost control associated to it.
