Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Electronics of the University of Minho. Concluded his graduation inElectrical Engineering, by the Engineering Faculty of University of Porto, in1979. Ph.D. by the University of Minho under the subject of Electrical MachinesControl, in July 1993. He is a teacher at this University since October 1979,where he’s been lecturing courses in the fields of General Electronics, PowerElectronics and Electrical Machines. He’s been focusing his research activitiesin Power Electronics applications, namely Electrical Machinery Drive Systems and Power Quality.
