DAIPESEV - Development of Advanced Integrated Power Electronic Systems for Electric Vehicles
The project DAIPESEV deals with the development of advanced Power Electronic systems for Electric Vehicles, proposing the design of a new converter topology with integrated functionalities. The purpose of this new converter is to integrate the motor driver, the batteries charging system, and also the auxiliary battery charging system. Moreover, with the proposed converter, it is possible to charge the batteries with on-board charger in two variants: slow charging (power below 4 kW) and fast charging (power up to 40 kW). Therefore, with this project, it is expected to contribute to increasing the overall efficiency of the Electric Vehicle, by reducing weight, volume and costs, and by adding new functionalities with benefits to the users of the Electric Vehicles and the power grid management.
