Mohamed Tanta is a PhD student in University of Minho/Portugal. His research interest is about the power quality in electrified railway. He recived the M.Sc. degree from university of Minho- Portugal in 2015. He is now a PhD student and a researcher in (GEPE) group of energy and power electronics – Centro Algoritmi research center. Since the M.Sc., the research work has given rise to 8 scientific papers in international conferences and 1 book chapter. His main PhD work is about the Rail Power Conditioner (RPC) based on the Indirect Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC).
